An utterly sensational ring set with sapphires of the highest possible quality. These are exactly the colour sapphires are meant to be; a radiant blue with hints of purple and green. When we found this one, we couldn't take our eyes off it - and we still can't. Rare, unusual and jaw-droppingly gorgeous. A wonderful alternative to a diamond solitaire.
Cut - Cushion and round cuts.
Colour - Cornflower blue.
Carat - A total estimated carat weight of just under 1.50. The middle sapphire is approximately 0.50 carat. The next two stones are around a third of a carat each. Two outer sapphires are roughly 0.15 each.
Circa - 1900.
Condition - In great condition, although there is some thinning to the base of the band.
Size - Currently an R (UK) or 8 5/8 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements - 6.5mm at the widest point. The top of the ring, from sapphire to sapphire, is 20mm. Sits nice and low to the finger.
Metal - Tests as 18k gold
