An exquisite early Victorian small silver Vinaigrette of shaped rectangular form, the base very finely engraved with a reclining naked cherub amongst foliate scroll work, the sides with geometric designs, the lid with a central cartouche engraved with contemporary initials MC, and foliate scroll work. The original bright silver gilt interior with superbly pierced grille, unusually opening from front to back.
