Georgian 2.75 Carat Sapphire & Old Cut Diamond Double Cluster Ring, circa 1800

Bursting with character. This stunning old Georgian cluster features at it's centre a deep, almost indigo blue sapphire. Rub-over set and surrounded first by a cluster of rose cut diamonds, then by a row of larger old mine cut diamonds. Some of the etching of the shoulders has rubbed, but you can still see the fine detail and workmanship. A wonderful and rare ring that gives a real sense of it's past.

Cut - Old oval cut sapphire. The smaller circle of diamonds are rose cuts, the outer circle is made up of old mine / miner cuts

Colour - Diamonds are I.

Clarity - All stones are VS to SI. All are clean to the naked eye

Carat -The sapphire is approximately 2.75 carat. The total estimated diamond weight is 0.68 carat

Circa - 1800.

Condition - Signs of age (clear from the picture), but the all the stones are secure and the ring is sound

Size - Currently M (UK) or 6 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.

Measurements - The cluster is 19.5mm by 14.5mm and sits 7mm from the finger.

Metal - 14k gold and silver. Tested.
