EDWARDIAN MAGOGANY MINATURE LADIES BUREAU BOOKCASE WITH LOWER DRAWER & DOUBLE CUPBOARD ON QUEEN ANNE LEGS C1900
A fine Edwardian period delicate and beautifully made ladies bureau desk or Bonheur Du Jour,finished in french polished rich mahogany.
A stunning piece of furniture,having inlay and with storage either side for books,with a lower drawer which is a support for the drop down bureau lid.
There is also a double cupboard below the drawer,which provides ample further storage,and is lockable with key provided for the main lid.
Complete with upper letter storage slots and two additional tiny drawers,with two recessed areas for standing a glass ink well.
A leather inset trim lines the inner bureaux lid and is in good clean condition.
This fine example has a highly glazed finish inside and out,which displays the full mahogany grain and depth of colour within the surface.
In all a sensible small piece of usable furniture,which could fit in almost anywhere within a lounge,study,office or bedroom/landing.
