A 19th Century Austrian writing slope, rare due to its size. Originated from Austrian the basewood is Burr Holly, inlaid with Ebony, Nickel Silver and Abalone running along the lid of the box. The centre panel is made from Agates, Malachities and different types of Agates from the region of Austria. The interior is Ebonised with the original velvet cover, beautiful box and good condition as shown. (13 inches long, 9.25 inches front to back and height 5 inches).
