Item #: 121S049MCL
A stunning and rare spray brooch with floral and foliate leaf details. Set with 34 rose cut diamonds - no replacement stones - this is a remarkable find. In incredible condition considering it's around 200 years old. All stones are set in silver, though there is evidence of gold wash to the back. A piece of history.
Cut - Rose cuts.
Clarity - SI to I. The biggest rose cut has what looks like a crack, though this is not surface reaching and does not effect the integrity of the brooch.
Carat - It's extremely difficult to gauge rose cuts, but we conservatively estimate there to be 2.50 carats.
Circa - 1820.
Condition - Evidence of a repair to the back, visible in the photos. In general, this is an extremely robust piece.
Measurements - 42mm by 30mm.
Weight - 9.9 grams
Metal - Tests as silver, with evidence of goldwash to the reverse.
