A superb late Victorian engagement ring. The old cut diamond solitaire is an absolute cracker; bursting with life and sparkle with a really interesting slight oval shape. The band itself is fine item of jewellery; graduating from the base but tapering in again at the diamond. The bezel setting feels somehow regal and has the added benefit of keeping this delightful diamond safe and secure.
Cut - Oval shaped old mine / miner cut.
Colour - H.
Clarity - SI2.
Carat - Approximately 0.90 carat.
Circa - 1880.
Condition - Some light surface scratches to the metal, easily polished out if you would prefer.
Size - Currently O 1/2 (UK) or 7 1/4 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down.
Measurements - The diamond, including the bezel setting, is 6.6mm by 6.0mm and sits 6mm from the finger.
Metal - 18k gold. Tested.
