A gorgeous mid-Victorian opal and old cut diamond five stone ring. The five stones are graduated towards the centre, including two utterly superb cushion shaped old mine cut diamonds. A lovely open gallery allows loads of light into the diamonds, helping their sparkle and fire while the three matching white opals a show play of colour.
Cut - Cushion shaped old mine cut diamonds. Two round cabachon opals and one oval cabochon opal.
Colour - The diamonds are H.
Clarity - Diamonds are VS.
Carat - Each of the diamonds is estimated at 0.25 carat.
Condition - Bearing in mind the age of this ring, it is in remarkable condition. There are some very, very faint abrasion marks to the opals which are undectable to the naked eye.
Circa - 1870.
Size - I 1/2 (UK) or 4.5 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can go up or down in size.
Measurements - From the edge of one opal to the other is 14.2mm and 5.4mm wide. Sits 4.1mm from the finger.
Metal - 18k gold. Tested.
