So wonderful, so unique. This amazing French band ring from around the turn of the last century is striking and versatile. It could easily work as either an engagement ring for someone looking for something a little "different" or as statement wedding band - or as a stand alone ring in its own right. Sits really comfortably and low on the finger.
Beautifully balanced where, unusually, the oval has been mounted longways. The diamonds are in yellow gold and surrounded by "Rolex Green" enamel work. Etched details in the surround and fantastic detailing around 3/4 of the band.
Cut - Old oval cut in the centre and old round cuts either side.
Colour - Diamond colourless; F.
Clarity - VS.
Carat - The centre stone is 0.90 carat with a further 0.20 carat (0.10 carat each) on the sides.
Circa - 1900.
Condition - Same surface scratches to the base of the and, consistent with the ring's age. Easily polished out if you wish. The enamelling is perfect.
Size - Currently L (UK) or 5 1/2 (US). Complementary sizing is available, can be sized up or down. Please contact us first regarding sizing as there is a limit to how much this can be altered.
Measurements - The enamelled area is 18mm across. The band is 10.4mm at the widest point, tapering down to 3.8mm at the base.
Metal - 18k gold. French hallmarks.
