We love, love, love these. Each earring depicts a beetle; the body a 2.75 carat leaf-green natural and unheated sapphire, the head a high white old mine cut diamond and six 18k yellow gold legs. The beetles are dangle from a cluster of four old cut diamonds. Playful, eye-catching and very beautiful. This is Victorian insect jewellery at its most stunning.
Cut - Cushion shaped green sapphire and old mine / miner cuts diamonds
Colour - Diamonds are F; colourless.
Clarity - Sapphires are eye clean. The diamonds are VS
Carat - Each earring holds an approximate 2.75 carat sapphire and estimated 1.00 carat of diamonds
Circa - 1900.
Condition - Excellent.
Measurements - From the very top of the earring to the bottom is 32mm. The green sapphires are 9.9mm by 8.2mm
Metal - 18k gold. Tested.
