A highly decorative oil painting of a young lady in medieaval dress. This beautiful portrait is copy of a work by the 16th century artist Parmigianino. The original is kept in the Museo Nazionale di Capodimonte, Naples, Italy. Parmigianino painted the portrait of the young lady (so-called Antea) whose identity remains unknown to this day; the name “Antea” is a fiction, but will doubtless stick. Dating from the late 19th Century to early 20th Century after the original from circa 1535. In a modern gilt frame.
